Garbage Bread is a stuffed bread roll made by filling pizza dough or bread dough with a mix of meats, cheese, vegetables, and sauces, then rolling and baking it until golden. It’s called “garbage” bread because you can throw in almost any leftovers or toppings you have.
A common version includes:
- Pizza dough
- Mozzarella cheese
- Ground beef or sausage
- Pepperoni
- Onions and peppers
- Marinara sauce
Basic method:
- Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
- Add fillings, leaving space around the edges.
- Roll tightly like a log.
- Seal edges and brush with egg wash or butter.
- Bake at about 200°C / 400°F for 25–30 minutes.
